Seminyak is one of the best areas to be based in. I’m not the biggest fan of Kuta, but it’s one of the most popular places to stay in Bali. It’s famous for surfing, its stunning sunsets, and perfect for party animals. Surprisingly, Canggu is not as popular as Seminyak or Kuta, and definitely quieter. However it’s a really nice place, very central, home to rice fields, gorgeous villas, and surfer beaches. Plus, Jimbaran is not far from the Bali airport.
